故事发生在四十年代的上海滩，花红艳（陈红 饰）出生在贫困的家庭之中，为了给不成器的弟弟还债，她违心的做了丝绸大王龙耀祖（陆军 饰）的姨太太，而龙耀祖的弟弟龙耀宗则是花红艳的初恋情人。让众人没有想到的是，在花红艳嫁入龙家没多久，龙耀祖就暴毙而亡，龙耀宗成为了家族的接班人，而他对花红艳旧情难忘，两人陷入苦恋。 白黛林（郑家榆 饰）是白厉冰（黄达亮 饰）的养女，同时也是他的摇钱树。守备司令江砥平觊觎白黛林的美貌，想要拥有她，于是借故逮捕了白厉冰。然而，白黛林却对江砥平冷若冰霜，而对向她出手相助的军官鲍春望（钟汉良 饰）情有独钟。。A disconnected teenage girl named Lea, who enters a relationship with a man twice her age.
