本片改编自诗人中尾太一的诗集《国道29号、解放》，以美丽的自然和恬静的风景为背景，讲述了不善沟通的孤独清洁工中井德子（绫濑遥饰），别名蜻蜓，和与众不同的少女小春（大泽一菜饰）出发，在连结兵库·姬路市到鸟取市的国道29号上旅行，通过与奇妙的人们的相遇，收获了丰富的感情，加强了两人间的羁绊，内心得到满足的公路故事。。年轻干练的萝温娜·普莱斯是《纽约快报》的一名记者，她秉持正义，疾恶如仇。在一宗参议院性丑闻的报道被撤下后，萝温娜大发雷霆，一气之下辞去工作。在当晚，萝温娜邂逅多年未见的童年好友葛瑞丝，但一周后却得知葛瑞丝死于非命。 葛瑞丝死前曾提到广告业巨头哈利森·希尔的名字，她与这个男人在网上结识，曾有过一段不伦之情。被对方甩掉后，葛瑞丝扬言要将奸情告诉哈利森的老婆。萝温娜判定这是一起谋杀案，她找来报社的搭档迈尔斯协助调查。一场猫鼠游戏就此展开。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。
